The actor started out as a pretty boy heartthrob, prized for his good looks and easy charm. But Brad Pitt has since evolved into an actor taken seriously in the business, an advocate of worthy causes, and one half of one of them most powerful and influential people in Hollywood, maybe even the world. The world is also quite fascinated with the whole Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie kids ongoing saga.
As a testament to his popularity, the __ year old actor graces the cover of British GQ's November issue, and he opens up about good pal George Clooney (who recently got hitched to fiance Amal Alamuddin), his career, marriage, and also touches on the fascinating concept that is the Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie kids traveling troupe.
Pitt is at a point in his life when he has enough going on for him that he gets to be picky about the projects he takes on, unlike before when he was a struggling actor. "I'm actually very snobbish about directors. I have to say no all the time," Pitt shares. "'No' is the most powerful word in our business. You've got to protect yourself... To leave home, it's got to be worth leaving. It's got to be worth it." In fact, Brad and Angie are very picky about their film roles, choosing not to work at the same time so that the other can spend some time with the kids. Except now, when the two have reunited for a film together called By The Sea -- their first since 2005's Mr. and Mrs. Smith. For the filming of the movie, each an everyone of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's kids are with them in Malta.
The Fury actor also explained what he thinks his pal George Clooney meant when he described Pitt as "unreachable." "Well, you know, George is extremely accessible. He's one of our best representatives. He's funny as shit. He's a joy to be around. I guess maybe I'm more of a miserable bastard," Pitt says. "I'm a bit of a loner you know? I'm more quiet by nature. And coming from, you know, hillbilly country, I'm probably more reserved."
In fact, the actor is at the point in his career when he is moving from being heavily involved in Hollywood projects, to being more focused on other things. Of course this means more time for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie and their kids "I've been slowing down for a while now. And slowly transitioning to other things," And, truthfully, I do want to spend more time with my kids before they're grown up and gone."
