As viewers watch the "Selfie" TV show pilot on Sept. 30 at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC, they will be hooked and, in the process, realize what it is like to live online and offline.

Karen Gillan and John Cho plays Eliza and Henry, who will work as a team as she asks for help in 'rebranding' her image after a social media scandal. Both characters will present an amusing look in the everyday world of selfie-taking.

Gillan ("Doctor Who") said they'd rather be just friends in Facebook if she'd be friends with a person like Eliza in real life. She said this in a video interview released by ABC News before the "Selfie" TV show pilot.

John Cho's character was also discussed in this interview. He calls his role in "Selfie" as Henry Higgins revolutionary. He told The Star, "Asians narratively in shows are insignificant. They're the cop, or the waitress, or whatever it is. You see them in the background. So to be in this position... is a bit of a landmark."

The producers initially thought of Henry as someone older and British. However, creator Emily Kapnek revealed, "We looked at tons of different actors, and really once we kind of opened our minds and said let's get off of what we think Henry is supposed to be and just talk about who is, we just need a brilliant actor-and John's name came up."

Do not think that the TV series will create a mockery of the people who tirelessly take selfie and post in Instagram each day. The truth is that it will exhibit an individual's life online and offline. Viewers can relate and can get to learn lessons - in humorous ways. Expect to laugh because Kapnek is also the person behind "Suburgatory", which was very funny
