This "Taken 3" movie news features the lead star Liam Neeson on the run this time, instead of being the one to take charge of the hunting. This new twist to the third sequel of the action movie sets it apart from its predecessors, as it intrigues viewers at the same time.

Deadline could not help but liken the plot of the movie featured in this "Taken 3" movie news to that of "The Fugitive" in 1993. The story follows Neeson's character Bryan Mills as he tries to prove himself innocent of his wife's murder.

Deadline revealed in their "Taken 3" movie news update that the trailer scenes followed the once-blissful life the ex-CIA agent. He just wanted to live peacefully with his teenage daughter and wife, doing things a doting Dad and hubby would do for his family. However, tragedy strikes anew when in the midst of their peaceful life, his wife suddenly turns up dead in their bedroom.

With Mills (Liam Neeson) as the prime suspect, he finds himself facing ruthless criminals hell bent on making his life miserable by taking away his most precious family, one member at a time. And since the cops would not hear of it, the audience can surmise that the bulk of the action would revolve around his efforts to clear his name. This involves his using his special set of skills once more to exonerate himself from this deadly mess while keeping his daughter safe.

Screenrant reported that Oliver Megaton directed the third, which will also be the last, sequel. They commented that his taking on the helm might not find favor with some fans who loved the original franchise directed by Pierre Morel.

However, with the high impact action in store for them, as glimpsed from the trailer, and great acting talents like Forest Whitaker taking on the bad guy's - a frienemy - role, they may find it hard to pass up this movie slated to hit cinemas on January 9, 2015.
