Now that the commotions have subsided and the dust has cleared, everything is laid out in to order. The LeBron James has captured the attention of Kevin Love and the Minnesota Timberwolves has learned to live without the face of the franchise.
Timberwolves has gotten over an era where Kevin Love was the star of the team. After many years of speculation, Love has finally made his mark and moved forward to further his dream of winning a championship. Too bad that it was not with the Timberwolves as love has found himself a new home with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
It wasn't just the franchise who has gotten over him, it was also his team mates as well who, for many times, has to answer the questions which Love could not answer.
According to Nikola Pekovic "I think the loss of Kevin Love, I think there was something somewhere in the air toward the end of the season. Still, we had some hope that he would stay. But we tried to make our team younger, and I see a lot of new faces, a lot of younger guys. Just waiting to see how Flip (Saunders) and the rest of the coaching staff are going to put everything together."
But even so, some of team also noticed the difference of not having Love around. It seemed like it lack chemistry to the point that Kevin Martin even phoned owner Glen Taylor to discuss the future of the team.
He said "We both felt like last year was a disrespect to Rick Adelman. We had enough veterans to jell the team, but there was just something that happened around February. I couldn't put my hand on it but our team just went in a totally different direction. We dealt with a lot of off-the-court issues."
But who can blame Love who only wanted a championship just like any other player in the league. In the end, Love is gone and the Timberwolves are moving on.
According to forward Corey Brewer "I knew he was going to get out of here. I'll be honest. But it is what it is. You've just got to adjust. We're young. It's not an excuse not to win. A lot of young teams win. Think about it. Phoenix was young last year and they should've made the playoffs."
