American Horror Story opening credits have just been released for the public to see. Fans of this top-rated horror TV drama have already previously released promos that have most likely induced shudders, especially from those who have always been scared of clowns.

"American Horror Story" has just released its latest promo, which, thankfully, finally features some actual scenes from this highly anticipated sci-fi TV series. It showcased the show's freaks, who, interestingly, do not want to be called freaks, as evidenced by how they keep chanting, "Do not call us freaks!"

Moreover, in the latest dream-like trailer, fans are given a sneak peek into the distinct personalities of Sarah Paulson's conjoined twin characters, Dot and Bette Tattler. Also, Naomi Grossman's comeback to the show is seen, as she returns to "American Horror Story" as Pepper. She was previously introduced in another AHS segment, "American Horror Story: Asylum."

The recently released "American Horror Story" opening credits had a relatively dream-like aura, showcasing an abandoned carnival or circus setting with soft children's music playing. It sounds like it came from a child-friendly fantasy, but taking an actual look at the video clip will ensure that kids, maybe even adults, will have a hard time sleeping at night. It could easily pass off as the world's most demented circus.

It might have eradicated any soft spot that the public has for stop-motion animation, such as what was featured in "The Boxtrolls." Unless, of course, if creepy skeleton figures, decapitated mutant dolls, and killer clowns have never been the focus of every person's nightmares, at some point. It looks like those who have been waiting for the show's premiere will have to watch it with the lights on.

"American Horror Story" will be premiering on the small screen on the 8th of October on FX.
