Nintendo 3DS XL Bundle Leak. Are you thinking about treating yourself to a new 3DS XL? Well, most people are by the time the holiday shopping season comes around. You have a few choices coming your way this year and it includes a Smash Bros. leaked system.

A Super Smash Bros Nintendo 3DS XL bundle leak for U.S. release was announced after a similar unveiling in Europe. The only catch is that North American version of Smash Bros. is unlikely to come with a Smash Bros Wii U bundle.

Nintendo's confirmation of the Smash Bros.-designed 3DS XL system is scheduled to hit retail stores on September 19th, with a price tag of $199.99. Although the console and the game will be sold in separate packages, U.S. gamers will have a chance to try Smash on a brand new custom designed 3DS XL designed with a myriad of characters on the front box cover.

A recent leak from a source close to the story said the handheld Nintendo device is ready to ship to the U.S., with a surprise blue edition instead of a red pack. In the most current leak from a Walmart ad, the U.S. release may include both a blue and a red version, reports say.

The US version of the handheld Nintendo will not carry a pre-installed Super Smash Bros. 3DS as was the case in Europe. The game will reportedly release on October 3. Super Smash Bros will launch in a similar fashion as Yoshi's New Island themed Nintendo 3DS XL, so it would seem to be a smooth release just like Yoshi.

On October 10th, Nintendo has confirmed the release of a special NES Edition 3DS XL. This iconic system will go for $199.99. And on November 25th, Atlus' Persona Q will have a dedicated Nintendo 3DS XL and will release next to the Nintendo's Persona Q: Shadow Of The Labyrinth Game for a price tag of $199.99, but will not be outfitted with a copy of the game.

"More than 12 million systems in the Nintendo 3DS family have been sold in the U.S. alone," Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America's exec. VP of Sales & Marketing was quoted as saying by shacknews.com. Moffitt added, "These new models give shoppers even more choices during the holiday shopping season. Based on past experience, these special editions likely won't stay on shelves for very long."

Reports suggest that Gamestop will carry Nintendo'S games, but this has not been confirmed. According to analysts at shacknews.com, "It wouldn't hurt to get a pre-order in, just in case. Remember the Zelda 3DS XL? "
