Another confirmed and announced movie by Disney is titled "Moana". Based on IMBD, the upcoming animated Disney film will premiere on March 9, 2018.

The directors of this 'in the works' animated film are John Musker and Ron Clements. These directors have already worked together on some movie projects such as "Aladdin", "The Little Mermaid", and "The Princess and the Frog". According to Disney.Wikia.com, after "The Princess and the Frog", the next project of these two directors was the adaptation of Terry Pratchett's Mort.

The source shared the official plot of "Moana" and it reads:

"The main protogonist will be Moana Wailaki, a sea voyage enthusitist and the only daughter of a cheif in a long line of navigators. When her family needs help, she sets off on an epic journey. The film will also include demi-gods and spirits taken from real mythology."

"Moana" is the first fully computer-animated film to be helmed by Musker and Clement. Additionally, the character is first Polynesian princess.

Lately, the film was rumored that it will be made in hand-drawn/computer-animated technique just like Disney's short film Paperman. However, Musker answered this rumor "far too early to apply the Paperman hybrid technique to a feature".

Meanwhile, Indiewire described the 2018 movie as a "Polynesian musical" as Musker told them, "We both are fans of music and I think that animation and music go along together."

Other films confirmed and currently in the works are "Giants" (2016), "Zootopia" (March 4, 2016), "Finding Dory" ("Finding Nemo" sequel, premieres on June 17, 2016) and "The Incredibles 2".
