"The Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Teresa Giudice was sentenced to 15 months in prison last week.
Giudice will serve her prison sentence first on January 5, 2015, then her husband Joe will serve his sentence, returning parental duties back to the mother of four, who recently spoke about her heartbreak regarding leaving her daughters during an interview with Andy Cohen.
"She [Gia] was being strong for me, I could tell. She was like, 'Mommy, don't word about it. I'll be there. . . I'll help daddy with the girls. . . She was like, 'That'll make me a better mom, that will prepare me for when I'm a mom.' I was like, 'Oh my God.' It broke my heart when she said that," Teresa Giudice told the Bravo host.
Gia, the Giudice's oldest daughter, will reportedly be monitored in school and will be taken out of gym class once a week to talk about her family situation, according to E! news.
"She [Gia's guidance counselor] said the one person Gia's worried about it is me. Alls I said to my husband was, 'Alls you have to do is please take care of our daughters. That's all I ask. Please, you've got to do what I do," explained Teresa on "What What Happens Live" with Andy Cohen.
Although the reality television star is coming to terms with her recent prison sentence, a source who knows Teresa Giudice told People magazine that "she's not doing well" after reportedly pleading guilty to mail, wire and bankruptcy fraud along with husband Joe Giudice, who has been sentenced to 41-months in prison.
"I was so nervous yesterday that I was shaking. My nerves were pulling. At one point I couldn't even move my fingers, they were like stuck. I couldn't open my hands. My nerves were shot. i've had sleepless nights. i mean, I was shocked. I mean, it was very unexpected. i don't even know what to say. I really don't know what to say," the Housewife told Cohen.
