"Chicago Fire" season 3, episode 3 spoilers reveal how the crew of Firehouse 51 will compete with rivals from Austin firehouse in order to stamp out a fire. On the other hand, Severide will still reportedly suffer after the loss of Shay.

"Chicago Fire" Season 3, Episode 3 spoilers are revealed through the promo video released by NBC as Firehouse 51 received a distress call about a fire. The crew immediately rushes to the scene but they find themselves not alone as the crew from Austin firehouse also responded to the call.

Joe Minoso's Cruz, realizing that Wench (Kenny Johnson) is in the next truck, wanted to get to the scene first.

He tells Casey (Jesse Spencer), "Don't worry Casey, I've got this."

But that earns a reprimand from Casey who says that he's not interested in a "pissing contest."

"If Welch wants this fire he can have it," Casey says. When Cruz even drives faster, Casey warns: "Cruz, forget it. Just drive the truck."

Meanwhile, Severide will continue to deal with the loss of Shay who was killed in the fire that gobbled up Firehouse 51, according to "Chicago Fire" season 3, episode 3 spoilers.

Executive producer Matt Olmstead earlier offered "Chicago Fire" season 3 spoilers to Entertainment Weekly as he said that Shay's death will also impact on Severide's relationship with Lindsay.

"She's not the kind of girl-as she expresses in one of the episodes-to sit at a restaurant for 45 minutes waiting for a guy to show up because he's out having a couple of beers with the guys," he said. "She's there for him, that means a lot, and he's able to express things to her that he wouldn't to anybody else in terms of Shay's loss. But it's just not the right time for her, so she's there as a friend, but certainly not as a romantic partner."
