Good news Marvel fans as new updates for Wolverine 3 have been revealed.
It seems that the plot details of Wolverine 3 will based on a popular storyline from the Marvel comics and according to reports from Screenrant, a proposed story for Wolverine 3 will based on "Old Man Logan".
"Well, of course we're looking at Old Man Logan, because that may be the only option left at this point! [laughs] We are looking at a lot of different storylines. No one has jumped out. You can tell from my answer that we're still working it out. I'm working with Jim Mangold, which is exciting. Jim came on board The Wolverine after Darren [Aronofsky] left, so he inherited it. And of all the things that Jim can do, one of the great things he does is develop scripts. I'm excited to see what we can come up with, but I haven't signed on signed on. I'm genuinely at that point where unless it's better than the last one I'm not going to do it."
ComicBookMovie.com has reported before that a blogger hinted four characters will face Logan in the movie and these are Daken, Cyber, and Omega Red.
The website also mentioned that Sabretooth will also join the Wolverine 3 movie as Liev Schreiber is rumored to be in talks reprise his role as Logan's half-brother/mortal enemy. So far, there have been no confirmation as of yet regarding Schreiber's participation in the project.
Meanwhile, there have been rumors that Wolverine will join Iron Man, Captain America and the rest of the Avengers in the third installment of the movie.
According to MoviePilot, Hugh Jackman expressed his desire to put Wolverine in the Avengers, and hinted a plot of him fighting the Incredible Hulk.
"I would love to see him as part of The Avengers because there's a great dysfunction among that team, and I think Wolverine would fit right into that. He'd like that."
The X-Men star also went onto show he understands the often complicated and turbulent dynamics between superheroes by explaining that.
"There's no doubt he'd get in a fight with Hulk at some point. Those two bad, rage-filled characters are going to square off at some point. It would be quite fun. I don't know how much fun to shoot it would be because I'm sure I'd be on the worst end of it, but hey, he can heal."
This could be good angle for Avengers 3 as Wolverine is one of the few X-Men members to join the ranks of the Avengers, but it's highly doubted that this will happen since 20th Century Fox hold the rights of the X-Men franchise while Marvel Studios handles the Avengers.
