Mariah Carey Tokyo performance on Saturday did not sound like her at all. She was in Tokyo to start off the Elusive Chanteuse Show. Although her fans were present to cheer her on all the way through the performance, some have noticed that she was obviously struggling to hit some of the song's high notes.
Normally, she would have reached those notes quite easily, especially that is her trademark move. However, the members of the audience at the event were all witnesses to how she failed to do so that night.
Mariah Carey got the harshest criticism for her performance from the Internet. People were blogging and commenting that her Tokyo performance was a huge flop. However, her blog said otherwise. According to her blog, the sold-out show was a success. Her blog even said, "Thousands of adoring fans sang and danced along with Mariah as she performed a collection of her biggest and most popular hits."
Since she has a world tour in the works, perhaps she has a lot of opportunities to hit those high notes. Perhaps, despite being a fantastic music icon, practicing a bit might still further improve her skills in singing. Plus, this tour of hers can also give her the time and space that she needs from her estranged husband Nick Cannon, especially from their ongoing marital stress.
A source informed E! News just last month that Mariah Carey had "started the divorce process," but has claimed that Cannon was hoping to straighten things out between them. According to the source, Cannon was even asking her "if she wanted to bring in a marriage counselor."
"She was devastated when he spoke out about their issues," the source revealed. "She's started the proceedings to make sure the ball is in her court from now on."
Another source claimed that after Mariah Carey's tour, she "may want to spend time in Atlanta." Apparently, Carey is "not too sure about anything right now" and that she is looking at houses in that area.
