Ebola Virus Outbreak Airborne May Spread Easily, Americans Fear; Christian Pastors Say 'Ebola Signals The End Of The World'
After reports of a Spanish nurse treated an Ebola victim, Manual Garcia, after his arrival in Spain, the nurse has been tested positive for Ebola. And the nurse is also the the first person to have caught the virus outside West Africa, where an outbreak has ravaged at least five countries.
Garcia treated Garcia Viejo, a priest at a Madrid clinic before his death from Ebola in September.
Although the nurse is suspected to have the deadly virus, the media said that the health officials have to confirm the final tests for Ebola.
In the U.S. three health care workers have been brought back to CDC Atlanta for recovery from Ebola. And the fear that if the virus is airborne, meaning if you can catch it from a person who has a cold, is certainly rampant, particularly for health care professionals after the case of the Spanish nurse.
Prof Jason Kissner wrote in globalresearch.ca, "In the laboratory, infection through small-particle aerosols has been demonstrated in primates, and airborne spread among humans is strongly suspected, although it has not yet been conclusively demonstrated (1, 6, 13). The importance of this route of transmission is not clear. Poor hygienic conditions can aid the spread of the virus."
He added, Are we to suppose that very recent and ground-breaking research was conducted that indicated there is no longer reason to "strongly suspect" that airborne Ebola contagion occurs? Surely, the research was done three weeks ago, and we only need to wait another couple of days until the study is released for public consumption."
Although the CDS has said that there have been no cases of airborne Ebola in the U.S., people are afraid that it could still be a reality. And for some extremists, it may also spell the end of the world: "Is the Ebola virus the beginning of a global plague that will cause untold damage worldwide and will it be one of the signs of the end times? Only God knows the answer to that question for sure, but make no mistake about it, global plagues will figure prominently as we move into the climactic days of world history and if you're out there and you happen to dismiss these predictions as the ramblings of some nutty Christians, be forewarned, for Jesus said it Himself, 'You also must be ready, because the Son of Man (Jesus) will come at an hour when you do not expect Him.' (The Bible, Matthew 24:44) Is Ebola the first wave of the coming storm? Who knows. But the wise amongst us, the very wise, will be at the ready, in the event that it is... the beginning of the end!" writes Reverend Eric Strachan is the pastor of New Life Community Church in the Inquisitr.com
