Daniel Radcliffe: ‘Horns’ Star Thinks 'The Aura Of Fame Is Bulls—!' What Does He Really Think About Harry Potter?

He might be one of the most famous (and richest) young actors in Hollywood right now but Daniel Radciffe doesn't like being treated like royalty. In fact, he wants people to see him as a regular guy.

"At least I think I am! We've all got our idiosyncrasies and bits of insanity, but I don't think I'm an obnoxious d---, and I think some have that perception of people who've grown up in the spotlight," he told As If magazine (via People) in an interview for its latest issue.

He does know he's lived differently than most people but the 25-year-old actor thinks that he doesn't "feel separate" from normal people.

He also wished, "I hope one of the things that surprises people when they meet me is that I am really quite normal."

One of the things Daniel Radcliffe doesn't want to turn into, is a narcissistic movie star version of himself. The 'Harry Potter' alum shared, "I try to counteract that, because the aura of fame is bulls-."

"People who enjoy being treated differently and revel in the attention that others give them are generally people I don't like very much," he added.

He also admitted that meeting teen fans who cry in front of him makes him uncomfortable.

"It's an awful feeling, particularly when they are 13 or 14-year-old girls. I feel horrible that they're crying. It's not worth crying about. Please!" he shared. "They are mostly crying out of excitement, but I still don't know how to deal with that."

It's no secret that the film and Broadway actor has been trying to get rid of his 'Harry Potter' image, insisting that he wants to take on as much diverse roles as he can. Even if that means he has to get naked to do so.

He recently told Marie Claire magazine, "You saw me growing up like a f- boy in a school robe. Of course there's a sexier side to me than that."

Daniel Radcliffe has certainly grown up with his romantic "real person" role in 'What If' and his darker turn as Ig Perrish in 'Horns.'
