John Galliano Creative Director: Galliano Returns To The Fashion Industry Through Maison Martin Margiela; British Designer Reignites Career After Being Publicly Fired By Christian Dior

John Galliano creative director is now ready to make a fabulous comeback with regards to his fashion career. He submitted to himself to a hiatus after he was publicly dismissed by Dior. However, he has just been officially announced as the new creative director of Maison Martin Margiela.

This move will mark the first collection of this Paris-based fashion house under John Galliano's total creative control since he was disgraced in 2011 when Christian Dior fired him. He was the creative director for Dior for 15 years, but he was axed from the job following an anti-Semitic and racist rant that he directed towards a certain couple in Paris.

Renzo Rosso, the president of OTB, said, "Margiela is ready for a new charismatic creative soul." OTB controls Margiela and it looks like he is happy that they have Galliano under their wings.

"John Galliano is one of the greatest, undisputed talents of all time - a unique, exceptional couturier for a maison that always challenged and innovated the world of fashion," Rosso said. "I look forward to his return to create that fashion dream that only he can create, and wish him to here find his new home."

This new move is undoubtedly a second chance for the famous British designer who has only been resorting to slowly make his way back "step by step" into the fashion industry, especially since the headline-making scandal that he was involved in. He had to retreat from the industry so that he could reportedly address his issues with substance abuse.

He previously tried to debut his work in a brief stint at Oscar de la Renta, in addition to his creative director spot for the Russian perfumery company, L'Etoile.

"Although I have lost a lot, I have gained so much," John Galliano creative director told Le Supplement earlier this month. "I mean, I'm alive today. I've been able to work on myself, and, eventually, when I do come back into the industry, I know the industry won't have changed, but my perspective on it has changed."
