Everybody is excited for the season premiere of their favorite zombie outbreak TV show, and with the show's season 5 premiering on October 12, there is much to look forward to especially since the last season ended with a cliffhanger! In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, the show's creator Robert Kirkman answered some very pressing questions and in the process, may have potentially spilled some The Walking Dead season 5 spoilers!

Plenty of fans are dying to know the turnout after the big cliffhanger of the show from last season. The good news from the show's creator is that they won't be teasing out the answer to the question left hanging. In fact, they will be immediately answered in the first few minutes of the season 5 premiere! "Yeah, we left the season on a cliffhanger and it was a big cliffhanger. But by minute two or three of our season premiere, I think the vast majority of our questions have been answered and five or six more have been presented," Kirkman reveals. How's that for a Walking Dead season 5 spoiler?

After the menacing threat of the Governor from last season comes a new villain the form of the character Gareth. And if the guy isn't scaring you enough, Kirkman reveals another The Walking Dead season 5 spoiler, and it is this: Gareth will not be the sole threat that our lead characters will be facing.
I would say without a doubt that Gareth is far from the only threat, quite possibly far from the biggest threat, and there's quite a bit on the horizon," Kirkman confirms.

And just who is thug man Gareth, and why will he make a formidable opponent for Rick? Kirkman says that he is more dangerous because he is smarter than the previous adversaries. "I think the main thing about him is probably his intelligence. More than anything, he certainly has this element of calm to him that the Governor especially lacked," the showrunner shares.

As for the Terminus people, people really want to know if they are cannibals! "I'll answer that with two statements: One, wouldn't it be crazy if they didn't turn out to be cannibals, since everything seems to be going that way?" Kirkman says. " And two, all I'll say is this season is following the comic book storyline pretty closely, possibly closer than we ever have before, and there's a very popular, familiar storyline in the comic books that happened immediately following the exodus of the prison and it is entirely possible that we will be touching in some way on that very popular storyline."
