Guardians of the Galaxy will be a cartoon by 2015 at the Disney XD. You heard it right!, the Star Lord, Groot, Drax the Destroyer, Gamora and Rocket Raccoon will be seen in the small screen, produced by Disney XD and Marvel Television. The show was announced during the Comic Convention in New York. The producers said that production is already in progress on the spinoff of the animated series. The Guardians of the Galaxy earned in the interplanetary box office more than $100,000,000,000. According to Jeph Loeb, "This is a very exciting time for the Marvel Animation Studio as we get to explore the cosmic side of the Marvel Universe by developing the first-ever Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy animated series. After starring in the biggest movie of 2014, everyone wants more of Star-Lord and his crew - now they'll get it."
The cartoon series, Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy will have the same characters as the movie, Drax, Star Lord, Gamora and Rocket Raccoon, although, Disney refused to disclose whether the film's stars would have a role in the series.
Marvel's vice president for current animation, Stephen Wacker, stressed in an interview that the series would do everything they could to adapt the firm's offbeat sense of humor. The series' plot would start where the film left off. The Marvel super villain will prominently figure as the purple-skinned Thanos. Guardians became the top grossing movie of 2014, earned more than the original Iron Man at the international box office. The whos-who of Marvel development talent and the producers behind the animated Guardians, are the creative people behind different movies, Marvel's Avengers Assemble, TV Shows, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and a host of famous running programs of Marvel bloc on Disney XD. Although the film version of the Guardians of the Galaxy 2 would not hit cinemas until 2017, fans will only have to wait until 2015 for a more exciting, something bad and something good, or a combination of the three.
