Daniel Radcliffe's gay issue has been following the 'Horns' actor around since his Harry Potter days. Being a supporter of LGBT rights and starring in several gay-themed movies didn't help matters either.
The British superstar previously shared that he stopped Googling himself to preserve his own mental health.
"It f-s you up. You shouldn't be on there if you're an actor," he told The Guardian in a past interview. "There's a line in The Thick Of It - Googling yourself is like opening the door to a room full of people telling you how s- you are - and it's exactly that."
However, the 25-year-old actor has come to terms with the Internet's fascination of his and every celebrity's sexuality.
According to the young actor, "If people are speculating about your sexuality, then you're doing OK."
Recently, this exact issue was once again put in the spotlight with an "inaccurate" and "disrespectful" article by a Middle Eastern TV station.
According to Yahoo UK, a segment in the Middle Eastern Broadcasting Center (MBC), 'Scoop With Raya,' listed Daniel Radcliffe as gay, as well as several other Hollywood celebrities.
Aside from naming openly gay personalities such as actress Jodie Foster, singer Ricky Martin, 'How I Met Your Mother' star Neil Patrick Harris and TV host Ellen DeGeneres, the article also included the British star as well as Cameron Diaz and Lindsay Lohan.
The "gay list of shame" article also claimed that Elton John wore a dressing during his wedding to partner David Furnish earlier this year.
After being barraged by critical responses from netizens, the TV station came out with an apology for the 'What If' actor and the other celebrities included in the list. MBC stated that a junior editor had failed to check facts and also plagiarized an already existing article online.
International Business Times quoted the station as saying, "MBC.net apologises from its readers and the named celebrities, for the article that was published earlier on the scoop section of the site, www.mb.net/scoop, and that is clearly not related to neither [sic] the presenter of the show 'Scoop with Raya', Raya Abirached, nor the show itself."
None of the celebrities mentioned in the article has commented on the issue.
Nevertheless, Daniel Radcliffe's gay issue is still an ongoing speculation online but the actor is glad that the "girlfriend" keyword has been rising to the top since he announced his relationship with 'Kill Your Darlings' co-star Erin Darke.
"I'll take that, as these things go. I'm pleased my girlfriend comes up before alcoholic or gay," the 'Harry Potter' alum said.
