Minnesota Vikings coach Mike Zimmer is not happy with the performance of his team and he is not the type to mince his words.

The Vikings was only able to make a fourth quarter field goal against fierce competitor, Detroit Lions which ended the team losing with a a17-3 defeat.

Zimmer talked to reporters saying "If we don't take care of things better than we did today, it doesn't matter what we have ahead of us. I'm extremely disappointed about this loss. I can handle getting beat, but I can't handle getting our butts whipped like that."

Strict Zimmer has fined several of his players after showing up late to meetings and treatments. He said "I'm not going to let them slide. I'm going to keep pounding my head. Like I told them, the fines are going to start going to the max now. I'm tired of it."

Several of Zimmers team are out due to court orders and injury and among them are Adrian Peterson, who s accused of child abuse, guard Brandon Fusco and tight end Kyle Rudolph who are out due to injuries.

When asked whether their loss was due to their key players being out he answered "We just coach the guys who are here. We don't worry about them."

But not everyone gets the taste of Zimmers spicy words are there are still some who escaped his ire. Among them were wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson whom Zimmer commented saying "He's got to do a better job of getting open. I'm tired of hearing about all of this stuff. He's the second-most targeted guy on the team, so if he wants the ball, tell him to get open."

And there was also rookie quarterback Teddy Bridgewater in which he said "Teddy made a lot of mistakes out there as well. I don't think there's anybody immune to mistakes. I don't have the magic answer."

But generally, here is what Zimmer has to say about his team "We didn't run the ball effectively. We didn't throw the ball effectively. We didn't catch the ball effectively. We didn't get open with receivers today. We missed some throws. There were some guys open that we missed. So, it was a combination of things."
