Amanda Bynes Fans Tell World To ‘Stop Laughing’ At Her On Twitter

Amanda Bynes was reportedly hospitalized at the Las Encinas Hospital this week after the disturbing sexual abuse allegations she made on her Twitter account.

After months of the former actress publicly going through a difficult time, Amanda Bynes fans are prepared to stand by the troubled star via Twitter.

"If Amanda Bynes had cancer would press be in frenzy over her antics? She is clearly ill, needs care. Mental illness isn't entertainment," wrote Twitter user David Rothkopf.

Fellow social media user Nic Kelly added, "Don't go preaching about the importance of Mental Health Week and simultaneously laugh at Amanda Bynes."

Michelle Visage shared her thoughts on Amanda Bynes' recent troubles as well, tweeting, "My heart goes out to Amanda Bynes. Mental illness is not a comedy. This is a talented kid who is tragically being made a punchline."

The "She's The Man" star entered the treatment facility on Friday and after spending nearly 72 hours there throughout the weekend, the former child star's psychiatric hold at the center has reportedly been extended for 14 more days, according to E! News.

Bynes was reportedly taken to the treatment facility following a series of shocking sexual abuse allegation she made on Twitter against her father, Rick Bynes. After making the list of allegations, Bynes took back what she said about her father.

"My dad never did any of those things. The microchip in my brain made me say those things but he's the one that ordered them to microchip me," tweeted Bynes.

Bynes' mother and siblings have reportedly spoken out regarding the allegations through their lawyer Tamar Arminak.

"I am heartbroken today for my husband of 47 years. Rick has been the best father and husband a family can ask for. He has never abused Amanda or our other children physically or sexually. These accusations are absolutely horrible and could not be further from the truth! These allegations stem from Amanda's mental state at the moment. They have no basis in reality. It saddens me beyond belief that my husband's character could be slandered in such a way," stated Amanda Bynes' mother Lynn Bynes.
