Amanda Bynes was involuntarily committed to a psychiatric hospital in Pasadena, California last week where doctors were able to extend the initial 72-hour psychiatric hold by 14 more days.

It seems like the "She's The Man" actress might be hospitalized for longer as doctors are reportedly going to court to obtain an LPS Hold, which would allow medics to confine her to a hospital or another secure facility and lasts up to 12 months, according to the media outlet TVNZ.

A judge will reportedly grant the special type of conservatorship if they feel a patient is "gravely disabled as a result of mental disorder or impairment by chronic alcoholism."

People became increasingly concerned for the mental health of Amanda Bynes after the shocking sexual abuse allegations she made against her father on Twitter. Although Bynes later deleted the posts on her Twitter account soon after, the incident has led her mother and siblings to speak on her recent behavior.

Aside from the recent accusations on Twitter, Amanda Bynes was reportedly arrested for DUI in California and was accused of shoplifting at a department store in New York City, according to the website YOU.co.za.

Now that the 28-year-old has been admitted into a hospital, the former child star is reportedly upset with her parents, Lynn and Rick Bynes.

"Amanda feels utterly betrayed and says her relationship with her parents is 'destroyed forever,'" a source told TMZ.

The insider added, "Although she's had a poor relationship with her dad, she had warm feelings for her mom...until Friday."

According to TMZ, Amanda Bynes is reportedly being held in a women's mental lockdown section of the facility she's currently staying in and is "showing fits of anger."

Bynes' parents are reportedly more at peace knowing their daughter is receiving much-needed treatment.

"They're happy she's safe and that Amanda is finally getting some help," a source told People magazine.
