Duck Dynasty star John Luke Robertson gushed to Us Weekly about the things that he loves most about his fiancée Mary Kate McEacharn. The two of them only started to date each other March this year, but Robertson has already proposed to her during the weekend.

The 19-year-old "Duck Dynasty" star said, "We actually met four years ago at a Christian summer camp. There was some chemistry!" However, it would seem that the last part of his statement was said as a joke since he admitted that he spent a whole year trying to win McEacharn over.

"I had tried to date her before, and she kept turning me down," he informed Us Weekly. "I just kept at it and she finally said yes!"

They officially started dating back on the Ides of March. Robertson admitted that he had a gut feeling that McEacharn was the one for him. He did not provide any information on how he knew, but he reiterated that he "just knew."

Then, he went on gushing about his wife-to-be. "First of all, she would always listen to my stories and laugh at my jokes. So, that was a plus," Robertson reflected. Also, he mentioned that the true connection that they have between then was faith-based.

He continued, "She never gave me the time of day until I started talking about Jesus. That was the only thing we could ever talk about. And, I knew then that she was a good one, because she would help me grow in my faith. And she was pretty good-looking!"

McEacharn also said some romantic things about her future husband. "I had always prayed God would bring a Christian boy into my life," the 18-year-old McEacharn said. "When John Luke came into the picture, I figured God had placed him there. He's an awesome man of God. He's really funny. You never know what's going to happen with him. He's full of surprises. Plus, he's pretty cute."
