'Resident Evil' TV Series In The Works! Constantin Film To Produce The TV Show Version Of Horror Fiction Movie; Airing Date Not Yet Confirmed

After the annoucement of the TV reboot for "The Mortal Instruments," it was also revealed that "Resident Evil" TV series is in the works and it will be managed by the hands of Constantin Film.

According to GameSpot, "Resident Evil" TV series will not come out sooner until the next Resident Evil movie comes to theaters.

As per Variety, the Germany-based Constantin Film (this is the production company behind the Resident Evil movie franchise) is planning the spinoff.

Meanwhile, "Resident Evil" movie, which may be the last is titled "Final Chapter." As of the moment, there is no announcement about the official release date. According to the source, the delay of the movie is because of the lead actress Mila Jovovich who is now pregnant.

Variety's report also mentioned that the "Resident Evil" TV series is currently in production. The source didn't include any details regarding a plot and actors chosen to appear in the TV show.

Meanwhile, Game Spot mentioned that the next new Resident Evil game, which is called "Resident Evil: Revelations 2," will be released episodically, just like a TV show. There is also another "Resident Evil" title for an HD remake of the original Resident Evil. It is also reported that HD remake is in the works for consoles and PC. Both games are expected to launch in 2015.
