Apple's Steve Jobs' biopic is moving along as "Dark Knight" star Christian Bale becomes the latest celebrity tied to the film.
According to the UK's Independent, the Apple's Steve Jobs' biopic, to be directed by Danny Boyle, "has struggled to get off the ground after David Fincher pulled out of directing."
The film is not related to the "Jobs" film starring Ashton Kutcher, which didn't really do well at the box-office domestically. With a budget of $12 million, it grossed $6,713,900 in the US during the opening weekend though it managed to hit $35,931,410 when all is said and done, reported Box Office Mojo.
Apple's Steve Jobs' biopic is written by "The Social Network" and "Newsroom's" Aaron Sorkin, based on the biography "Jobs" written by Walter Isaacson.
The drama will take place backstage during three Apple product launches: the Mac, the NeXT and the iPod," Independent said. Sorkin has compared the project to 'writing about the Beatles' because there are so many people out there that know and revere Jobs.
Earlier, Leonardo DiCaprio bowed out of Apple's Steve Jobs' biopic in order to rest.
In a report from The Hollywood Reporter, Leonardo DiCaprio begged off the Apple's Steve Jobs' biopic as the actor planned "to take a lengthy break from acting."
Accordingly, the Oscar-nominated actor had committed to do the biopic on Apple's Steve Jobs after shooting "The Revenant."
"Now with DiCaprio out, the studio is eyeing a number of actors to take on the iconic tech figure, who has been both worshipped and reviled.
Among the actors considered to replace Leonardo DiCaprio in the biopic of Apple's Steve Jobs are Christian Bale, Matt Damon, Bradley Cooper and Ben Affleck.
However, Christian Bale has something else that the other actors don't have and which fans have pointed out - his resemblance to the tech genius, according to Independent.
