Zach Galifianakis has recently been seen looking quite svelte as ever. The "Hangover" actor was last seen in public in October of 2013 and looked a lot slimmer during the screening of his movie "Birdman or the Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance" at the closing night of the New York Film Festival on October 12th.
He did not share any details regarding his dramatic weight loss. However, rumor has it that alcohol, or the lack of it, played a huge part in helping shed off all that extra weight.
The 45-year-old actor told Conan O'Brien in 2013 that he had lost a lot of weight after he stopped drinking alcohol. 'I was having a lot of vodka with sausage," he shared. This statement got his fans thinking that the absence of alcohol was involved in his latest diet regimen.
Zach Galifianakis is believed to have lost approximately 50 pounds since his fans last saw him.
He has kept mum about his new trimmed-down body, but he is very vocal about how much he does not like being famous. He said during a press conference for his movie, "Being a celebrity is sh*t. It's dumb and I'm not interested in it."
He then added, "I like to be an actor and that's it. The blurred lines are, I think, man-made. I think celebrity is a man-made thin. It's not innate in us. I'd rather just do my work and go home and watch Lifetime."
Galifianakis recently appeared on "The Tonight Show" with Jimmy Fallon. He talked about how uncomfortable he feels with regards to stepping on the red carpet. "Oh, I live on the carpet. I live for the carpet. Salt of the Earth, people there," he told Fallon in a sarcastic manner. "I find the questions are boring and I try to liven it up a bit."
