Renee Zellweger's plastic surgery rumors immediately erupted after the actress stepped out for an Elle party with totally new facial features.
According to the 'Bridget Jones Diary' star, however, her unrecognizable new looks isn't because of the surgical knife. It's mainly because of contentment.
"I'm glad folks think I look different! I'm living a different, happy, more fulfilling life, and I'm thrilled that perhaps it shows," the 45-year-old said in a statement, according to the New York Daily.
She added, "My friends say that I look peaceful. I am healthy."
"She's probably having a mid-career crisis!" 28-year-old health specialist, Fahra Simon, speculated to the New York Daily. "A lot of celebrities are trying to keep up with the younger generation, the Kim K's."
Several doctors think that Renee Zellweger's plastic surgery was obvious. Doctors say she had some things done to her eye and cheek areas.
"There is no question she has had her upper eyelids done," a Manhattan plastic surgeon reportedly observed. "She always had that cherub-y face, and suddenly... her eyes (are) much wider."
With surgeons suspecting that she got surgery, the actress insists it's only because of the 180-turn that her life has taken.
"For a long time I wasn't doing such a good job with that," she revealed about her health. "I took on a schedule that is not realistically sustainable and didn't allow for taking care of myself."
She shared further, "Rather than stopping to recalibrate, I kept running until I was depleted and made bad choices about how to conceal the exhaustion. I was aware of the chaos and finally chose different things."
Whether Renee Zellweger had plastic surgery or not, it's undeniable that 'The Whole Truth' actress looks incredibly well.
"Perhaps I look different," she reportedly told People. "Who doesn't as they get older?! Ha. But I am different. I'm happy."
