Logano is not worried about retaliation from Patrick and his stats

Joey Logano and Danica Patrick had an altercation in the race track in Charlotte. But Logano did not take too long to and had already made peace with Patrick and he is not worried that the latter will intentionally wreck his car and lose his chance for a championship.

Logano spun Patrick during the Oct. 11 race at Charlotte and she was given permission over her team radio to retaliate. But she later remarked that wrecking Logano would have no effect on his title chances because he'd already earned a spot in the third round of the Chase for the Sprint Cup championship.

Logano has taken responsibility over what transpired in the race saying "'I think we came to a good conclusion of what happened - that's in the past, that's in the mirror, and we'll move forward." Adding "'It was a racing deal. It was one of those points that we were both being very aggressive. She was going to, obviously, try to take the spot and come down across me, and I probably should have gave at that point and I didn't. I told her, really in all honesty, I probably should have backed out in that situation."

According to Travis Geisler, competition director for Team Penske, there was little the team could do to
straighten out things between Logano, Patrick and her Stewart-Haas Racing team.He said "'It's between the people behind the wheel and whatever mood they're in at the moment. We try to do the best we can to maybe advise in that department on what's the right path. That's where the quarterbacks make the call. They do their thing."

On the other hand, Logano was not aware of the ruckus that happened at the Charlotte Motor Speedway on Saturday. He saw that his team mate Brad Keselowski and fellow driver Matt Kenseth were caught up in a physical altercation Saturday night.Logano was asked what message did the NASCAR penalties impart to fellow drivers. He answered "You look at what happened and say, 'OK, I can't do that. Who got fined the most and who got fined a little bit? OK you can''t do that (either)."

He adds "I'm not here to (pass) judgment on what happened. But as a driver you kind of know where the
lines are, but heat of the moment you kind of forget where those lines are. That's why a lot of time it's
better to talk about stuff a couple of days later instead of in the heat of the moment like that."It makes it entertaining for everyone."
