Steve Jobs Biopic Update: Christian Bale To Be The Better Actor?

Decisions have been made regarding the upcoming Steve Jobs biopic.

Aaron Sorkin has reportedly confirmed that British actor Christian Bale will be playing Steve Jobs in the new biopic, according to E! News.

Ashton Kutcher had previously taken on the role of Steve Jobs in 2013 while Leonardo Dicaprio was reportedly up for the part in the upcoming film as well. However, it seems that Christian Bale was the best man for the job.

"What we needed was the best actor on the board in a certain age range and that's Christian Bale," Sorkin told the media outlet Bloomberg, according to Entertainment Weekly.

The screenwriter added, "You know, it's like the NFL draft. There are some people who make a science out of exactly...'We need to draft a middle inside linebacker who can do this' and other teams say, 'Who's the best athlete on the board?' We needed the best actor on the board, in a certain age range, and that's Chris Bale."

Christian Bale, who reportedly didn't have to audition for the role of the Apple co-founder, needs to prepare himself for the biopic, as the performance is expected to be intense.

"He has more words to say in this movie than most people have in three movies combined," stated Sorkin.

He continued, "There isn't a scene or frame that he's not in, and there's a tremendous amount of language. So it's an extremely difficult part and he's going to crush it."

The new Steve Jobs biopic will reportedly be directed by Danny Boyle and will be based on Walter Isaacson's 2011 biography of Jobs.
