"Bewitched" remake for 2015 is under production in NBC, as reported in an article by People magazine.
People reported that the popular 1960's sitcom allegedly may land a slot in NBC's 2015 fall line up.
Allegedly, the people behind the story of the "Bewitched" remake for 2015 will feature a new twist of an attractive witch and her human husband. The character of the couple's granddaughter, Daphne, will showcase the young woman in her 20's using the power of her magic to survive life's challenges.
People reported that "Bewitched" remake for 2015 was originally shown through ABC in 1964-1972. The network allegedly bid to run the sitcom's remake again. However, NBC triumphed in airing the classic sitcom for the 2015-1016 seasons.
According to People, in 1977, ABC aired a series about Bewitched's popular witch, Samantha's daughter, called "Tabitha."The leading role was played by actress, Lisa Hartman. The series, though, only aired for one season.
"Bewitched" was shown in the silver screen showcasing a film that starred Nicole Kidman and Will Ferrell.
Don't be surprised if you see more series or sitcom remakes when you turn on your TV.
Next season, expect CBS to air a remake of "The Odd Couple." The series will star Matthew Perry. It was also recently announced that Showtime allegedly wanted to air a remake of "Twin Peaks." Fox allegedly had plans to air a remake of "The Greatest American Hero." On the other hand, John Stamos is campaigning for a "Full House" remake."
