A video of two dancing American priests studying in Rome went viral this week.
As comparisons to the singing nun Sr. Cristina Scuccia, who won the Italian version of "The Voice," surfaces, it seems like there might be a possibility of seeing the now famous dancing priests on some kind of variety show in the future.
Did anyone say "America's Got Talent"? Since the show features dancers as well, it just might be the right platform for the priests to further share their dance skills.
The Italian singing nun now has a record contract, according to NBC News, which raises hopes that Rev. David Rider and Rev. John Gibson might be given the chance to show the world more of their dance moves as well. 29-year-old Rider and 28-year-old Gibson reportedly first shot to fame when they were filmed in April during a fundraiser at the North American College.
The viral video of the priests was recorded by journalist Joan Lewis and was posted on YouTube where it began to get immediate attention.
"All of a sudden the numbers started rising and rising," Lewis told The Associated Press.
The video now has over 700,000 views on the video-sharing site and has continued to capture the interest of the public.
"That was awesome. Great talent!! And I'm not posting my religion because I don't think that needs to be the focus here. These two men, who just happen to be priests, did an awesome routine. Period. That's all," wrote YouTube user showerdancer.
Social media user 0623ivaldez added, "Thank you for exposing us to this clip, a side many of us never see. How wonderful!"
