It's the movie trailer that thrilled moviegoers to see Keanu Reeves' R-rated action film "John Wick". And now, that it's out in the theaters, most of have already watched it still gave it a thumbs up.

The simplicity of the film but with awesome pack of fighting scenes and stunts plus the reason for John Wick's revenge made it received decent and remarkable reviews from various critics and writers. It has earned 86% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

In a review by Richard Corliss on Time magazine, he wrote, "'John Wick' is the smartest display of the implacable but somehow ethical Reeves character since the 2008 'Street Kings'. It has vividly choreographed fights, a suave black suit for its hero to stalk in, swank homes and hotels to demolish, hoodlums who prove both the banality and the poor marksmanship of evil and a hero with no greater moral purchase on our rooting interest than that he's Keanu Reeves, and the bad guys killed his dog."

Business Insider's Brett Arnold reviewed the film as, "very efficient and will restore your faith in both Keanu Reeves and the [film] genre."

October-24 night was a battle between a board and a gun. "John Wick" is behind Blumhouse Prods' "Ouija" in the US opening weekend. The micro-budgeted horror film starring Olivia Cooke earned $8.3 million in its opening, while Keanu Reeves' action film opened with $5.45 million.

The $5-M budget film "Ouija", distributed by Universal and produced by Blumhouse Prods and Platinum Dunes, is about a group of friends who awaken the dark powers of an Ouija board. Of course, we all know what this board is, so when they play the board something "dark" will happen.

Meanwhile, Brad Pitt's "Fury", a World War II drama, raked $4.1 million in its second weekend last Friday, coming third with "Ouija" and "John Wick".

American thriller film "Gone Girl" starring Ben Affleck earned $3.5 million. Weinstein Company's "St. Vincent" brought in $2.6 million in its third week last Friday.
