LeBron James reveals some of his childhood in a new commercial for BeatsbyDre headphones.
In a video posted to his Facebook page, the reigning NBA MVP spoke about the message he hoped came across in his new Beats by Dre commercial which focuses on his return to Cleveland and what he said his hometown means to him. "It's not always about championships, or about money or about cars or clothes or about fame, or about anything else ...," he said. "It's more about my upbringing, my trials and tribulations, my everyday struggle as a kid," according to USA Today.
James signed the contract to come back to Cleveland where he was drafted. He Had made four consecutive NBA finals, winning two of the championships. He was born and raised in Akron, Ohio.
"Shot this behind the scenes video when I was in the office... wanted to explain what this Beats by Dre spot meant to me. What you see in the spot is what made me who I am, what drives me. I'm not driven by Championships, I'm driven by my hometown, by Northeast Ohio. #IPROMISE#JustAKidFromAkron," James said on his Facebook page.
