"Insurgent" cast Ansel Elgort admitted to being freaked out after he found out that his email was hacked, as he promised to put more focus on his social media account to make sure it doesn't happen again.
In an interview with WENN, per J-14 magazine, "Insurgent" cast Ansel Elgort talked about the email hack that got him scared.
"Someone got into my email and started tweeting from my Twitter and I freaked out," he said. "Luckily I think it was harmless and I just had to delete my email, which was awful because I lost my email and all my contacts. I just got rid of that email and started a new one, got Twitter to fix it and I was lucky I didn't get locked out of my accounts or anything."
"Insurgent" cast Ansel Elgort is indeed lucky considering that it was a harmless tweet, especially in light of "The Fappening" which leaked nude photos of celebrities including Jennifer Lawrence, Victoria Justice, Aubrey Plaza, Amber Heard, Kate Upton, Ariana Grande and a lot more.
He said that changing his email was the easy part, what freaked him out was that someone was able to hack his email by guessing his password.
"It's a scary feeling when you have that private space and you know someone else was in there. I have to be more on top of my social media and my technology because there are some savvy people out there who know how to get into it," he said.
In light of the nude photo leak, Google has removed the racy pictures after the victims threatened to file a lawsuit.
"We've removed tens of thousands of pictures, within hours of the requests being made, and we have closed hundreds of accounts," Google said in a statement. "The internet is used for many good things ... stealing people's private photos is not one of them."
