Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin reportedly ended their not quite long dating stint. According to Mirror, sources close to the "Hunger Games" star claims "she grew increasingly tired of watching the British singer playing 'happy families.'"

"Jen thought there was three of them in the relationship and didn't feel comfortable. She understood how close Chris is to his two children with Gwyneth but was perturbed by the way his relationship with her had a knock-on effect in theirs. It appears Chris is not quite over Gwyneth and rather than be left open to the risk of humiliation Jennifer thought it best to step aside. She is one of the most desirable women in Hollywood and quite rightly deserves to be leading lady for any man and not play second fiddle," an insider said.

The break up was not dramatic according to a source as reported by E!

"Things just didn't work out," the source said, adding that the split occured a few weeks ago. "There are no hard feelings between them."

Recently People reported the Coldplay frontman was seen reunited with his family for a dinner in Katsuya.

"They seemed like a happy family," says a fellow diner.

Reportedly, after the friend and her child left, the Coldplay frontman stayed with his family just to catch up.

"They all seemed very happy and were getting along," says the diner. "Chris kept showing Gwyneth what looked like pictures on his phone and they were smiling."

According to Daily Mail, the ex-couple were dressed for a casual evening. Both of them got into separate cars after leaving the restaurant. However, after driving a few blocks the Martin "was seen getting out of his vehicle to talk to his ex-wife in her car, as she reached out through the window to caress his face before they went their separate ways."

The same night, Jennifer was spotted in a separate location dining with a friend.
