"The Avengers" sequel will be titled "The Avengers: Infinity War" and will be seen in two parts. Marvel Studios has announced at the El Capita Theatre in Los Angeles last October 28 as it revealed the Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
"The Avengers: Infinity War" was revealed along with the announcement of "Captain America: Civil War", which is set to hit theaters in 2016. The superhero-team film will feature more superhero characters and a completely different team of superhuman who will protect the universe from evil Magus.
The Infinity War comic story arc centers on Adam Warlock, who is also known as Him. Warlock finds and possesses an Infinity Gauntlet that has drove out the good and evil sides of him, wherein his evil persona creates Magus.
Magus has this desire to conquer universe and take revenge against Thanos and Warlock.
In "The Avengers: Infinity War", it seems that Thanos will be the main antagonist in the film who will need to be defeated by the superheroes to prevent him from destroying the world.
With this plot, it goes to show that Marvel has indirectly answering the question of moviegoers, particularly Marvel fans, and the rumors that Captain America and Thor will not be in the third installment of "The Avengers" sequels.
But changes in the script can happen anytime. Until we see the official trailers of the film, we are still not sure if "The Avengers" members from first and second installments will completely out of the "Infinity War".
Adapting the "Infinity War" storyline has open the doors for more standalone films like "Ant-Man", "Doctor Strange", "Captain Marvel", and "Black Panther". Apart from these four superheroes who will have movie spinoffs or standalone films, Marvel also announced the movie sequels like "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" and "Thor: Ragnarok".
"The Avengers: Infinity War" Part 1 will hit the big screen on May 4. 2018 and the Part 2 on May 3, 2019.
