Nicole Kidman has just lost her father lost month and the actress feels lucky to have the support of her country singer husband, Keith Urban. Dr. Anthony Kidman died on September 12th while he was in Singapore visiting his other daughter and her family at 75 years old.
Kidman recently opened up to Ellen DeGeneres on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on Thursday. She shared about how she dealt with her grief and how her famous husband helped her get through all that sadness.
"He has been so good to me for nine years. But, for the last month, which has been a really tough time for me, he's been amazing," Nicole Kidman shared. "To have my husband just step up that way, it makes me cry. We all go through hard times in our lives, but to be literally carried by your partner, and physically, at times, because I was so devastated. I'll do anything for that man."
Additionally, Kidman also shared that she is very much amazed at the love that she has been getting from the people who have reached out to her while she was at her saddest moments. Moreover, she has stated that she somehow feels like she has a special connection to the people who also have grief in their lives.
"I've realized we don't talk about it enough in terms of our society," Kidman said. "Because, at some point in our lives, everybody loses their parents and it's awful."
On a much lighter note, the amazingly beautiful Oscar winner told DeGeneres how she and Urban managed to stay close even when their geographical distances keep them physically apart. It would appear that they keep their flame alive and kicking by writing love letters for each other. Instead of mere texting or sending short emails, this A-list celebrity couple writes handwritten love letters for each other "every single day."
