Marvel fans can't stop talking about "Thor 3" 2017 and news online.
Many have been speculating about Odin's fate, and predicting whether he will be back in the third movie.
As for Odin's fate, no one really knows if the Asgard King is still alive. At the end of "Thor: The Dark World," it has been implied that Loki has killed him and pretended to be him so he can rule over Asgard.
Marvel Studio President Kevin Feige had a few words to say about Loki in an interview with i09.
"I don't know, I think anything is possible... I think It always will depend... In some way, and this gets really nerdy, we look at the development of all of our movies in these phases. We've talked about this before. [Before] The Avengers [was] phase 1. We're in phase 2 right now, that's sort of the over-arching story lines. Some day people can look back at phase 1, phase 2, or phase 3, however long it lasts, and see a whole cinematic universe. But they can also look at the individual franchises and see arcs and turns. And in a strange way Thor, Avengers, and Thor: The Dark World is a Loki trilogy, which I think is cool. In charting the relationship of these two brothers, when we first meet them as little boys listening to a story their father [tells them] that they were both meant to be kings. Which ended up not being true for one of them, and seeing where that takes him in that troubled journey that Loki goes on."
And when asked about Odin: "I would not say that it's safe to say, no. I don't know what Loki did to him."
Other sites also talk about how "Avengers 2: Age of Ultron" was made to connect to "Thor 3." A report from Hitflix suggested that there will be a direct link to "Thor 3" at the end of "Avengers 2: Age Of Ultron." This link suggests a war between Midgard and Asgard, causing Thor to be confused in choosing which side he will be on.
Just recently, Screen Crush has confirmed that Marvel is indeed pushing through with "Thor 3," and has in fact, already hired screenwriters. One of which, is Marvel's former Senior Vice President for Production and Devopment Craig Kyle.
Kyle will be working on the "Thor 3" 2017 screenplay with Christopher Yost who has already written for "Thor: The Dark World."
Now that fans are assured that there is indeed a story already being prepared for the next "Thor" film, they will just have to wait and see what the upcoming film's plot will be.
Some speculate that the third movie in the "Thor" franchise will feature the total destruction of Asgard called Ragnarok, and will feature villain Surtur.
