That's not all, it seems that a third group of robot aliens are joining the cast of Transformers 5.

According to reports from the Inquisitor, the Quintessons are the original creators of the Transformer race and will likely serve as the main villains in the movies. The website stated that Transformers 5 will likely focus on the origins of the Transformers in Cybertron, and not to mention the Unicron saga.

The Quintessons they are an ancient race of alien mechanoids that have been a part of Cybertron's dark history. In the Generation 1 cartoon series, the Quintessons were responsible for creating the Cybertronians as Cybertron back then was a factory of robots during its early history. They've rebelled against their creators for enslaving and abusing them, which eventually drove them off Cybertron for good.

Lastly, there have been rumors that the Maximals and Predacons will be introduced in the new Transformers trilogy.

Several fans have speculated that their might be a Beast Wars plot somewhere in the movie franchise and Comic Central City reports that the Beast Wars spin-off is being planned after Transformers 5. So we will likely see the Maximals and Predacons on the big screen very soon.

According to reports from Entertainment Weekly, Bay explained the possibilities of the new Transformers trilogy.

"It's kind of like a new Transformers. We had three, the first trilogy, and this is going to be the next one... I'm not necessarily sure that I'm doing [the others], but that's what it's meant for."

Transformers 5 is scheduled to be released on 2016.
