Jim Carrey appeared on the highly anticipated Halloween episode of "Saturday Night Live" on October 25th. Thankfully for his fans and for those who waited long for the show, the "Dumb and Dumber" actor pulled out all the stops.
He kicked off his performance dressed as Hellvis, which is actually a hybrid of the devil and the famous music icon, Elvis. He then started to sing an original song, telling everyone about his love for pecan pie.
Plus, as if that was not hilarious enough, Carrey then decided that he had a knack of swinging from chandeliers as he participated in an office costume contest skit dressed as Maddie Ziegler, the amazingly skilled child dancer from Sia's music video for "Chandelier."
For this extremely funny skit, he was "competing" with "Saturday Night Live" star Kate McKinnon as they both got their grooves on.
In a natural SNL manner, the duo was forced into a dance-off, which eventually led them off the stage and into the audience. They danced past the creator of SNL, Lorne Michaels, and over to their musical guest for the night, Iggy Azalea. Surprisingly, when the "Fancy" singer threw off her hoodie, she was actually wearing the same dancer costume.
The energy-filled dance routine was filled with references to the original track, but it also featured some of Jim Carrey's own hilarious dance moves. However, even if it was a highly memorable act for the actor and the show, it was actually not the highlight of that evening.
Carrey also took a walk down memory lane in the SNL sketch, entitled "Carrey Family Reunion. The SNL players, such as Bobby Moynihan and Taran Killam, dressed up as the actor's relatives. They sported such a strong resemblance to some of Carrey's most memorable characters, such as Ace Ventura and The Mask.
