Bat Hospital In Atherton To Change Bad Reputation Of Animals? [VIDEO]

A bat hospital in Atherton, Australia has taken the step to make bats look just as cute as any other baby animal, which we once thought was impossible.

The Tolga Bat Hospital in Atherton reportedly rescues and releases hundreds of baby fruit bats each year with the help of devoted volunteers who travel hundreds of miles to the nonprofit center, according to Yahoo Odd News.

Roughly around 300 baby bats are orphaned in the area of Atherton annually, which is when the people of the hospital step in to care for them. Interestingly enough, baby bats drink milk from a bottle, are bathed in a sink and are wrapped in adorable blankets.

The baby bats, which are usually abandoned when their mother becomes too sick to feed them or they become sick to tick paralysis, even have their fur combed.

The Atherton bat hospital reportedly helps care for injured adult bats along with caring for the babies that can't fend for themselves. It's also the chosen location for bats to retire to after a career at a zoo.

As rare as this kind of hospital is, the location reportedly offers tours, charging $18 for adults and $10 for kids.
