Twitter What's Happening Box Has Something That Looks For Familiar To The Users Urging Them To Engage More Conversations!

Twitter has been changing its features and platform every now and then. They intend to bring more users into their site and into the conversation. The social media site, puts a box familiar to all users, the "what's happening?" box of Twitter.com. Before the box is located on the left hand side, between the list of trends and profile box, this box, is the main tool of tweeting on Twitter.com, was re-located on the top of the timeline, like:

This time it's the "what's happening?" box familiar to all users of Twitter.com. Previously located on the left hand side, between your profile box and the list of trends, this box - the main method of tweeting on Twitter.com - has moved to the top of your timeline. Like, Facebook's "What's on your mind?" Yes, the location looks familiar, that is because it is exactly similar as the Facebook's status question on the top of the news feed.

In 2009, Twitter changed the status box to "What are you doing?" Dick Costolo, CEO of Twitter has explained multiple times those users' answers, "Well I'm looking at Twitter." Some users are happy about it, some are skeptical:

Dear Twitter, if the question was phrased, "What's happening, Hot Stuff?" I'd be more inclined to use that tweet box. #JustASuggestion

The firm didn't expect the modification will spark a controversy, and has not reacted to the users request for comment on whether this is the outcome of any form of testing that shows a set-up would urge more users to tweet, almost 50% of Twitter users are just lurking on the site, plainly reading tweet instead of engaging into a conversation pit.
