Tameka Harris, more popularly known as Tiny, "just wanted to do something different." After traveling halfway across the world, she was able to permanently change her eye color.

She recently went to Africa to undergo a procedure to permanently change the color of her eyes. She used to be a brown-eyed beauty, but she wanted to turn her eye color to ice gray. Such procedure was actually illegal in the United States. This is why Tiny decided to fly to another continent just to get it done.

"They are ice gray," the 39-year-old Tiny told Deborah Roberts of ABC News. "That's the color I purchased."

Tameka Harris is the star of two reality shows. She first became famous when she joined an R&B group Xscape. It would appear that she intends to make herself known in the industry once again, for being the reality TV celebrity to first permanently change eye colors.

"They go into the eye and they make a little slit," Harris shared. "They take an implant and it's folded up. They open it and spread it over your eye." The implant, according to Harris, was a medical-grade silicone.

She then added, "They told me that the procedure was going to be quick, five to 10 minutes an eye. They woke me up. It was very blurry, then it kind of fades in."

Although she may look astonishing now, looking like as if she came straight out of the Twilight series, other medical professionals are not so agreeable. Dr. James C. Tsai, the President of the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai, cited some potential risks associated with artificially changing eye colors.

"These risks can be sight-threatening and can include glaucoma, cataract, and corneal problems," Tsai stated.

Still, despite the risks, Tameka Harris shared that she was very much happy with the results that she got. Perhaps her fresh appreciation of her eyes has overpowered any potential health concerns. "I looked into the mirror and I was, like, 'They are amazing.' I love them," she said.
