Actor Macaulay Culkin has had to fight reports once again that he was found dead.
There have been false reports circulating that Culkin was found dead in his Manhattan apartment on Friday, which, of course, caused a social media frenzy shortly afterwards.
"Oh no Macaulay Culkin is a dead man. I loved the film Richie Rich," wrote Twitter user TheActress Hannah.
The hoax statement claiming that the "Home Alone" actor is dead was quite shocking.
"Multiple unconfirmed reports say Culkin was found dead Friday afternoon in his Manhattan apartment after police responded to a wellness check requested by a family member. At least one occupant of the Manhattan apartment confirmed the apartment belongs to Culkin but police have not confirmed the man's identity at this time," the hoax statement read, according to the U.K's The Independent.
The statement continued, "The apartment was exceptionally clean and we found no signs of abuse or foul-play so we are depending on the coroner to make a final ruling of what happened here today,' said Det. James Patterson, of the Manhattan Police Department."
Macaulay Culkin reassured fans that he's still alive and well by posting a picture on his band's Instagram account, according to People magazine.
It has reportedly only been seven months since the last rumor that Culkin was dead.
The actor's representatives also issued a statement stating that he's still alive.
"He joins the long list of celebrities who have been victimized by this hoax," stated the reps.
They aded, "He's still alive and well, stop believing what you see on the Internet."
