During a Reddit AMA, one of the cast members of the original "Hocus Pocus," Better Midler, reportedly told fans that lobbying Disney is the only way to make "Hocus Pocus 2" happen.
However, interestingly enough, there's already an IMBD page for "Hocus Pocus 2" and the film will reportedly focus "on a witch hunter who teams up with a magical housewife to stop a power-hungry evil witch," according to the website.
The original cast is reportedly not likely to be coming back for "Hocus Pocus 2: Rise of the Elderwitch," according to the media outlet.
It's questionable as to whether the three actresses who starred in the 1993 classic Halloween film even know about this, as Midler along with Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy have all reportedly stated that they want to reunite for a "Hocus Pocus" sequel.
"Inundate the Disney company. because I have canvassed the girls and they are willing to do it, but we have no say in it, so if you want a 'Hocus Pocus 2,' ask the Walt Disney company. You have been SO adorable. This has been the most enlightening. SISTAHS!," stated Midler, according to USA Today.
When asked on Twitter is she would reprise her role in the potential sequel, Parker reportedly responded with, "I'm in," according to the U.K's Belfast Telegraph.
Najimy responded with, "Hocus people, Bette says it best. Listen to your elders!"
There had reportedly been rumors earlier this year that Tina Fey was on board to produce the sequel to the Disney film, but the "30 Rock" star reportedly stated that she was producing a different film about witches.
Either way, "Hocus Pocus" fans are all about having a sequel to watch, so much so that a petition has been started. For those who feel the need for a sequel, click here and sign away!
