"Sherlock" cast Benedict Cumberbatch proved that he could take on Hollywood A-listers in a funny celebrity impression game with MTV to promote his latest film. Meanwhile, the actor has taken on a different persona as a wolf in "Penguins of Madagascar."
In one of his interviews to promote "The Imitation Game," "Sherlock" cast Benedict Cumberbatch was asked to imitate other celebrities in just a minute.
So in 60 seconds, he impersonated John Malkovich, Alan Rickman, Sean Connery, Jack Nicholson, Tom Hiddleston, Owen Wilson, Michael Caine, Christopher Walken, Bane (Tom Hardy), Matthew McConaughey and even Taylor Swift.
Of course, said Salon magazine, "The Imitation Game" is not about "Sherlock" cast Benedict Cumberbatch imitating other celebrities.
The film is about "the brilliant mathematician and cryptanalyst Alan Turing, and his incredible work on cracking the Nazis' Enigma code" during the Second World War.
Earlier, the 38-year-old actor told BBC, that he's honored about playing Alan Turing.
"To be asked to play such a phenomenal human being - a true English hero - is a great honor and comes with a great responsibility," Cumberbatch told BBC, adding that he had to do research about the mathematecian since he knew very little about the man.
"That's the tragedy of this man's extraordinary life - his achievements and his heroism and his criminal prosecution are not well known. He should be on the front cover of text books," he added.
Meanwhile, "Sherlock" cast Benedict Cumberbatch will play a very different character in his role as a wolf in "Penguins of Madagascar."
"In the caper - a spin-off of the hugely popular Madagascar trilogy - Cumberbatch voices Classified, a grey wolf in charge of a secret task force known as North Wind," UK's Mirror said. "The group encounters the scene-stealing penguins of Madagascar, who have rightfully earned their own movie."
