The "Bill and Ted 3" movie remains stuck in 'the business part of show business," said Keanu Reeves.
Since 2010, the third sequel to "Bill and Ted" has been talked about if it would be going to happen. Both Reeves, who played Theodore "Ted" Logan, and Alex Winter, who played Bill S. Preston Esq., are willing to reprise their roles.
Reeves told The Hollywood Reporter, "There's a script, and we're trying to get dough and rights."
However, Reeves said, "Once it became real, I'd have to look at it. I think the idea of it I really like, and the writers have a really cool [and funny] idea for Bill and Ted in the sense of what it could be about."
Alex Winter, on the other hand, revealed some details of "Bill and Ted 3" to Yahoo! Movies. The movie won't be a reboot of the film, but a sequel, and Winter said that it is "about Bill and Ted grown up, or not grown up."
He added, "The conceit is really funny: What if you're middle-aged, haven't really grown up and you're supposed to have saved the world and maybe, just maybe, you kinda haven't?"
Recently, Keanu Reeves has been busy with his successful action film "John Wick", which marks his best comeback movie after the low-grossing movie "47 Ronin". He also admittedly not receiving movie studio offers since "The Day the Earth Stood Still" in 2008 and before landing as Kai in the fantasy-martial arts film "47 Ronin" in 2013.
If "Bill and Ted 3" would be pushed through, then it would be another big movie for Keanu Reeves after "John Wick".
The 50-year-old "The Matrix" actor has just started filming "Daughter of God" and is working on films "Knock Knock" and "The Whole Truth". He is also set to star in his first-ever TV series "Rain", based on Barry Eisler's novel series.
