"The Real Housewives of Atlanta" recently premiered with new episodes on Bravo. Previous seasons' mainstays including former Miss USA Kenya Moore has returned to bring new drama.

In an interview with The Grio, Kenya shared that she was in an abusive relationship before she starred in the hit reality show. Her ex-boyfriend whom she met in high school was a much older man, and has nearly killed her.

"He was every bit of what you would think an abuser would be," she said.

"He tormented me physically, mentally and once even nearly killed me by putting me into the hospital, from attacking me with a finger nail file... stabbing me with a finger nail file."

"The Real Housewives of Atlanta" star said that despite the horrific experience, she now feels blessed that the relationship actually helped her be aware of abusers early on,

"I know what to look out for and whenever I see a hint of it I don't choose to be with that person."

"My advice if someone is experiencing that they need to tell someone, they need to confide in someone that can help them," she said.

Meanwhile, in aother interview with Perez Hilton, Kenya has claimed that she "might" be pregnant, and has claimed that the good news will definitely be shared once the new season airs. The controversial housewife has also dished on her lovelife and has admitted to liking "complicated" relationships.

"I'm a real girl's girl. I love to support other women. I love beautiful women. I love confident women. I'd see sometimes, early on, that I was being called a 'mean girl.' I think it's very clear that I don't start trouble, trouble tries to find me and I sort of end arguments."

"The Real Housewives of Atlanta" airs on Bravo every Sunday night at 8 pm EST.
