Brooke Shields, who just appeared in a MAC cosmetic campaign, may be preparing herself for a very interesting career path.
The MAC model, who has been promoting her memoir "There Was A Little Girl: The Real Story of My Mother and Me," may be making her way back to comedies again.
"I'm ready for comedy again. I need a a little jolt of comedy in my life," explained Brooke Shields, according to USA Today.
Shields is reportedly currently the voice of Mrs. Goodman in the racy Adult Swim animated series "Mr. Pickles," which focuses on a murderous dog. Brooke Shields has previously starred in the NBC sitcom, "Suddenly Susan," from 1996-2000 as well, so her return to comedy may highly welcomed by fans of the stunning 49-year-old.
Shield's return to comedy may be good for the actress and mother-of-two as well, since she just spent time writing her memoir, which sheds light on the relationship she shared with her mother. The book reportedly goes into detail about her mother's alcoholism and a young Brooke Shields finding solace in her work, according to the Vancouver Sun.
"The movie business kept me afloat and sane," wrote Shields, who shot her first national ad for Ivory soap when she was just 11 months old.
She continued "My mother's drinking superseded my stardom. I craved opportunity and I craved my mother's sobriety. I never understood the connection between the two."
This isn't the first time that Shields has opened up about her past. Shields also reportedly wrote about postpartum depression in her 2005 book "Down Came the Rain."
In her recent interview, Shields shared her honest opinion on being a woman in Hollywood as well.
"You're supposed to look 28 and the thing is, I don't want to be 28 again. I want to look the best I can from where I am now," stated Shields.
