Conor McGregor's next fight is bound to heat up after "The Notorious" branded opponent Dennis Siver as a Nazi. This recent action by the brash Irishman has led people to think that he may have crossed the line this time.
Conor McGregor's next fight against Dennis Siver is scheduled for UFC Fight Night 59 on January 18, 2015, at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. Right after the bout was made, both men have immediately begun trading barbs against each other.
"The Notorious" has always been known as a trash-talker, and Conor McGregor's next fight opponent is not expected to be exempt from such treatment. Coming into the said bout, McGregor chose to take a shot at Dennis Siver's ancestry, who was of German descent.
In a report by Bloody Elbow, "The Notorious" had posted a tweet of a photo of his face-off with Siver during the "Time in Now" press conference held in Las Vegas on Monday morning. Along with the photo was the caption that read "Kiss them feet Nazi."
It was reported that McGregor had deleted the tweet, likely to avoid any backlash from German nationals. Instead, he posted a follow up tweet bearing the same image, with the intent to "apologize" for his previous slur.
"Ich bin ein sowwy. Now about them feet," the tweet reads.
McGregor's brash demeanor and knack for trash-talking earned him both fans and haters. However, most fans were disappointed with "The Notorious'" statements and thought that he may have gone too far.
"It's even worse that Conor didn't know Sivers heritage here, or that he chose to ignore it," Bloody Elbow community member soilworker wrote. "I generally like what Conor is doing, but he's getting a little loose between his brain and lips for my taste here."
"I still want Conor to do "big thangs" but come on son. Have some integrity.
I'm also part Irish BTW and I'm straight up disappointed with this comment."
