Chris Picco lost his wife and baby this past week, and has been known as the dad who sang beautifully to his dying infant.

The father reportedly performed again at the memorial service for both his wife and baby on Saturday with another song, according to the NY Daily News.

Picco chose to sing “Blackbird” for his dying baby, and for the memorial service, he touched his audience once again with his performance of “This is My Father’s World.”

“We’ve come here tonight to do the impossible,” Picco stated at the Loma Linda University Church in California.

The father and husband stated, “And that is to sum up someone’s life in a collection of words and pictures, and we know that’s impossible to do.”

Chris Picco and his 30-year-old wife, Ashley, were reportedly anticipating their son’s birth in February when she suddenly became ill. Picco reportedly stated that doctors delivered their baby boy, Lennon, by emergency C-section after Ashley died in her sleep on November 8, according to the Associated Press.

The video of Picco singing to Lennon has received more than 14 million views and as he has continues to gain love and support from the public.

“I’ve had an outpouring of support most of them contain the words ‘I know words aren’t enough but’ and now I know how that feels because when I say ‘thank you’ to all of you that’s not enough,” Picco stated.

He added, “I could never articulate how much your support and your strength, it has meant so much to me when I say thank you I know exactly what you mean.”

The church reportedly set up a memorial fund in Ashley’s memory to help the family. Despite his loss, Picco expressed his thoughts for those who didn’t have the support he has.

“I want some good to come out of this. So many people out there who have reached out to me didn’t have the support, didn’t have the random viral video, didn’t have this opportunity, this momentum,” stated Picco.

He continued, “So for whatever reason we have this, so what now? What good can we bring out of this to this broken world?”
