Star Wars: Battlefront reboot is announced by EA as its "major first-person shooter." Some players if not all are not so delighted to hear that. Here's good news, What Culture reported that EA Games Label President Frank Gibeau has confirmed that Battlefront 3 "has a third-person component to it."

The website also noted that adjustable perspective can give players a power of choice. Reportedly, many players prefer "the more personal, character-inclusive third-person, or the more visceral, engrossing qualities of first-person. Star Wars: Battlefront has always included both, and it owes a chunk of its popularity to that versatility."

According to Christian Today, Star Wars: Battlefront will hit the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms during the 2015 holiday season. Electronic Arts and game developer DICE dropped "III" from its original title to make it appear as a reboot rather than a sequel to its predecessor.

Star Wars Battlefront is expected to be launched by summer of 2015 as reported by Eurogamer, however it was moved by a few months as Electronic Arts announced its December release date via Twitter. The "major first-person shooter" will coincide with JJ Abrams' Star Wars: Episode 7 that premieres December of 2015.

Aside from the adjustable perspective, What Culture listed some of the expectations to the Star Wars: Battlefront reboot. The website specified the following:

1. Not Battlefield Star Wars edition

2. Multiplayer wars not battles

3. A proper campaign

4. Cooperative Play

5. Custom games

6. Bigger better space battles

7. Diverse locales

8. Heroes

9. Distinctive units

In addition to the Star Wars: Battlefront reboot, Eurogamer reported that EA CEO Andrew Wilson announced the next Battlefield game from DICE presumably called Battlefield 5 that will be released in the last quarter of 2016.
